Go SF

This is great! Every year San Francisco Gay Pride honors one douchebag aka Gay hater with the honorary Pink Triangle award. This years winner is none other than President Geogre W Bush...this is what appears on sfpride.org! Check it out! SF Pride is the best around and I personally can NOT wait for it.

2007 PINK BRICK RECIPIENT

The Pink Brick is an annual "award" given to a person or institution that has done significant harm to the interests of LGBT peoples. This person is selected by public vote in March for receipt of the Pink Brick, a faux "award" that represents the first brick hurled at the Stonewall Rebellion on June 27, 1969.

Arnold Schwarzenegger had the Pink Brick hurled his way in 2006 for his veto of a same-sex marriage bill, and Diane Feinstein received the award in 2005 for her comment that the legalization of same-sex marriage would be "too much, too fast, too soon."

For the second time in a row, Mr. George Bush has been selected to receive the Pink Brick; he first received the award in 2003. Pride attendees this year will have the opportunity to get Bush's look-alike wet at a special Pink Brick dunk tank at the 2007 Pride Celebration.

George W. Bush
The incomparably unpopular 43rd President of the United States George W. Bush continues to push his anti-queer, anti-LGBT political agenda this year by continuing to back a Constitutional amendment that would re-define marriage as between a man and a woman. In his 2006 State of the Union address, Bush referred numerous times to the need to prevent "activist judges" from redefining civilization's "most fundamental institution": marriage. Rather than asking that judges perform their official duty to uphold the Constitution, whose very purpose is to protect minorities against majority tyranny, Bush has sought to use the phrase whenever a judicial decision is not in lockstep with conservative ideology. The Bush administration's focus on same-sex marriage has been utilized as a wedge issue to divide communities as well as to distract from his numerous policy failures in the domestic and international arenas.
