Think what you will of her parenting skills, her partying, her crazy attire...Britney is on the road to success and the musical comeback of her career! Her album is due out in a little under 6 weeks with if this kind of stuff continues it could be HUGE for her...
The Stats -- "Gimme More" makes a huge jump from #68 to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100! That's the biggest single for Britney Spears since "Baby One More Time" which was #1 for two weeks! Last time Britney was in the Top 10 was with "Toxic" at #9!
And now----
In the midst of another trying week in Britney Spears' personal life, she receives some positive professional news as "Gimme More" opens at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Digital Songs with 179,000 downloads and soars 68-3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Both charts will be posted tomorrow (Oct. 4) on Billboard.com.
"More" is her fifth Hot 100 top 10 and her best showing on the list since her smash debut "...Baby One More Time" hit No. 1 for two weeks in January 1999. Her last top 10 was "Toxic," which peaked at No. 9 in March 2004.
Earlier this week, a California judge ordered Spears to hand over custody of her two small children to her ex-husband, Kevin Federline. A hearing is scheduled today for further custody proceedings between the couple.
Spears' as-yet-untitled new album is still on target for a Nov. 13 release via Jive.

Clinton's $27M tops Obama
Share this story: Digg del.icio.us Newsvine Reddit FacebookWhat's this?WASHINGTON (AP) — Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton raised $27 million for her presidential campaign this summer, outpacing all other candidates so far with her best three-month showing of the year. The bulk of the money — $22 million — is for use in the primaries.
Her total fundraising of nearly $80 million for the 2008 presidential race, reported Tuesday, puts her on a par with her chief Democratic fundraising rival, Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois. He still leads Clinton in money raised for the primaries alone, though trailing in national opinion polls.
Obama reported raising at last $19 million from July through September for the primaries. He has raised a total of $75 million for the primary season and about $4 million for the general election next year.
Clinton's summer donations bring her total primary dollars raised this year to $62 million. The New York senator also raised $5 million for the general election in the quarter, adding to $12.6 million from previous quarters.
She also supplemented her fundraising earlier this year with a $10 million transfer from her 2006 Senate campaign.
This was the first quarter that Clinton has raised more than Obama, who brought in $20 million in the same period and has given her an unexpectedly tight competition in the money race.

Poor Britney
Okay so yes I am and always have been on Team Britney and yes I do have sympathy for her and yes I still will buy her CD and support her. I have never once condoned her behavior all I have ever said is NO ONE IS PERFECT! She never said she was something she wasn't and she never set expectations of herself in the media everyone started tearing her down for just living life...Now that her kids are with Kevin (great place right...MMMM or not) maybe she will finally take sometime for herself!
Here is the latest from E! Onlines Marc Malkin...
No Tears from Britney?
Is Britney Spears crying over losing custody of her children?
Apparently not.
A source tells me the embattled pop princess is fuming but not exactly sobbing. “There have been no tears,” I am told. “It’s more like she’s angry. It’s more like, ‘Who are you to tell me I’m not a good parent?’ ”
The source says Spears is in constant contact with her attorney’s office. “She calls them all day asking for advice, but then she doesn’t take any of it.”
Who else is she in contact with these days? Not many people. Despite being on the outs with her parents, Lynne and Jamie, I hear she does talk to her brother, Bryan, and sister, Jamie-Lynn.
“Obviously, her parents are disappointed, but they’re sort of relieved she lost custody,” my source says. “When Britney has them, she won’t allow them near the kids.”
A few weeks ago, I was the first to tell you that the small circle of people Britney does stay in touch with have been urging her to check in to rehab. I’m told the pressure is still on: “She hasn’t said she’ll go yet, but everyone wants her to.
“Even Kevin has told her to go," the source says. "If she wants her kids back, she doesn’t really have a choice. They think rehab will happen sooner than later.”

Reflections of the moment...
Dont judge, because I dont
Dont just be, be happy with being
Love you, before anyone else
Be happy, because its not worth it unless you are
lifes to short
im on my 2nd chance
not going to screw it up
one shot
thats all
remember
time = value
love = life
you = you
love
life
always
feels good to breath...
my heart
to yours
*this is something I wrote early this morning, just hit me...a lot of you know me, know of me, don't know enough about me, whether you want to or not, I am not cut and dry, theres more to me than anyone person will ever know...and I am sure there is more to all of you than I will ever know, take time, enjoy each other, dare to ask, dare to get to know each other, take risks, chances, put it on the line, lifes to short yeah? I am not sure what the poem above means but I guess as of late I've been reflecting alot on life, not in a good way or bad way, just realizing how lucky I am and how lucky we should all feel to just be here, be us, day to day take a moment and remind yourself...we all get caught up in it, but if you take that single moment to reflect...the skies clear, the ground stops shaking, life catches up with you...and you become one again.*

Breaking News - J-LO is Pregnant!
JENNIFER LOPEZ IS PREGNANT!
After trying to have a baby for two years, Jennifer Lopez and her husband, Marc Anthony, have a little one - or two - on the way
Jennifer Lopez recently told British magazine Grazia, "I can't wait to have a baby. I guess it will happen when God wants it." Now In Touch can exclusively reveal that Jennifer's prayers have finally been answered.
After previously visiting her Beverly Hills ob-gyn, fertility specialist Dr. Robert Katz, she had an ultrasound performed in a New York office on September 12. "The test calculated that she was about 12 weeks pregnant," an insider tells In Touch. "She's due in the spring."
That's wonderful news for Jennifer, 38, and her husband, singer Marc Anthony, because for the past two years, they had been trying just about everything to get pregnant, the insider adds. Finally, in July, she was successful with in vitro fertilization - so successful, in fact, that there's a possibility she's having twins. "The way the fetus is lying made it difficult for the doctor to tell if there was more than one baby in there," says the insider.
Whether she has one baby or two, "becoming a mother is Jennifer's dream," a friend says. "She's over the moon." Marc is also beaming. "He has a twinkle in his eye," a close friend tells In Touch. "He can't wait for her to have their baby."
Although Jennifer is keeping mum about her pregnancy and she and Marc are going to be on a 14-city tour together until November 3, there have been obvious signs that she has a baby on the way. On September 11, Jennifer appeared at the New York Fashion Week launch of her new clothing line, Justsweet, where she was trying to hide a noticeable bump under a baggy green dress. "She was glowing," a witness says.
That same week, back in LA, Jennifer and Marc, 39 - who has three children from previous relationships - threw a dinner party for 10 guests, including David and Victoria Beckham. "She looked much rounder,"
says an insider. "She didn't drink all night and she didn't touch the raw tuna."
Jennifer is being extra cautious, but now that she's into her second trimester, she can rest a little easier. "With in vitro, the first few weeks are tenuous - then the risk is no higher than with any other pregnancy," says Dr. Dave David, a gynecologist from Norfolk, Mass., who has not treated J. Lo.
According to the insider, Jennifer has miscarried before, so she's waiting until she's well into her pregnancy before she makes an announcement. She has another ultrasound scheduled for September 21 and plans on spilling the beans soon.
An insider says that if everything is okay, "Jennifer wants to share this with the world because she's so in love."

Breaking News - Britney's Album Drop
FRIDAY AUGUST 31, 2007 08:00 PM EDT
Britney Spears's long-awaited comeback single, "Gimme More," has finally arrived, and Jive records tells PEOPLE exclusively that the album is scheduled for a Nov. 13 release.
The club-friendly dance track officially premiered Thursday night on New York radio station Z-100's Web site.
The song's official debut came just minutes after versions of it were leaked to at least two other Web sites, Perezhilton and TMZ.
"The track that leaked is off of Britney Spears's forthcoming album. The song is "Gimme More," produced by Danja, [and is] written by Nathaniel "Danjahands" Hills, James Washington, Keri Hilson, Marcella Araica," a Jive Records spokesperson told PEOPLE.
The song features the pop star's signature breathy vocals, melodic electronic bleeps over a driving beat and a catchy hook that's is true to the song's title. Spears opens the sexy and sassy tune by defiantly saying, "It's Britney, b---", and producer Hills ends it in a shout out, saying, "Bet you didn't see this coming."
On Wednesday, news of the single's imminent release, which comes from the singer's fifth studio album, was reported by Entertainment Weekly.
Also on Wednesday, singer/songwriter Ne-Yo, who wrote several potential songs for Spears, told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show "[Britney has] gotta remind people why they love her in the first place. She's gotta get their minds off her personal life and back on the music."
Over the last several months, Spear's personal struggles, including a stint in rehab and the ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline, have all overshadowed her career.
Still, in May, she performed several live shows in Los Angeles and Florida – during which she performer her old material. Since then, the singer has been seen taking dance classes and shooting a music video.
Up next for Spears: She is scheduled to host the opening of LAX nightclub in Las Vegas on Friday. It's not clear yet on if she plans to perform at the event.

MMMMMMatt DaMMMMMon
I loves me some Matt Damon and I for one can NOT wait for BOURNE ULTIMATUM to come out...THIS FRIDAY AUGUST 3rd!!
Everyone weighs in on Lohan
Really!? Once again Donald Trump thinks he knows whats right for everyone espcially young girls. WHATEVS! This is what the Trump said about Lindsay Lohan:
“Find what you love doing (other than drugs and alcohol), work hard, stay focused, get a new set of parents"
Now, Dina Lohan, who needs a LOT of HELP HERSELF, came back with this formal statement...Dumbass!
“Donald, I’m really disappointed in the statement that was brought to my attention. I’ve always had a great admiration for your business sense and I’ve read all your books and learned from them! Your own brother died of alcoholism and you own Trump Vodka? You say Lindsay needs new parents? Such a rash statement without backing it with fact? I am a single mother of four children doing what I can during this difficult time! Do a background check of both parents and you will find the truth! Shame on you… so many families suffer from this, yours included. We need solutions not opinions! - Dina and family”
Heres my advice to Lindsay....Run girl, RUN!

4 years
It was 4 years ago today I took a huge chance with my life and has a procedure that at the time was extremely scary and overwhelming but has saved my life thus far.
I had Gastric Bypass 4 years ago today...I used to weigh 522 pounds at my heaviest...
Today I weigh 200...
I am forever greatful for everyone who has supported me along the way...
That have always been there
That have always accepted me for me
I love you all (new and old friends) in a way that I could never truly put into words...
Thank you for continously being my source of laughter, love, and happiness!

`The Apprentice' to return _ with celebs
By LYNN ELBER, AP Television Writer Yesterday at 4:16 pm
Check your publicist at the boardroom door — NBC is inviting celebrities to try to wow Donald Trump in the next version of "The Apprentice."
And while it would make for a marquee matchup, don't expect Rosie O'Donnell to be among them.
"It will never happen in this lifetime or beyond," said Cindi Berger, O'Donnell's spokeswoman.
The network announced Monday that the game show will be back in the middle of next season with the celebrity twist, the winner donating proceeds to charity instead of going to work for The Donald.
NBC had canceled "The Apprentice" due to low ratings when it announced its next season schedule in May. But the network hired Ben Silverman as its new entertainment chief shortly thereafter, and he called on Trump and executive producer Mark Burnett to revive the show.
No contestants were named in NBC's announcement. The network said it was looking for people with entreprenurial abilities in the areas of sports, entertainment and fashion.
Which, of course, raised the question of O'Donnell, Trump's nemesis, maybe getting involved.
"It would be great to have Rosie on `The Apprentice,'" Silverman said at a morning Television Critics Association news conference. "Donald personally told me to extend an invitation to her."
NBC entertainment co-chairman Marc Graboff echoed Silverman's comment, saying "we'd love her" to be on the show.
O'Donnell's spokeswoman, however, quickly put a freeze on the idea. She did confirm, though, that the former talk host and "The View" panelist was in talks with NBC about other projects.
NBC also announced Monday that it would be getting into some mind games for another series. It has signed a deal with magician Criss Angel and Uri Geller for a competition where they will search for the next great mentalist.
Also, Jerry Seinfeld is returning to NBC next season — if only briefly. The network said Seinfeld would appear as a guest on the Oct. 4 season opener of "30 Rock," coming back to his Thursday-night turf.
"I was thrilled to be asked to guest star on NBC's hit comedy '30 Rock,'" Seinfeld said. "I think it's going to be so refreshing for me to be playing myself in a show that has nothing to do with neurotic, dysfunctional New York characters."
NBC also announced Monday that it has signed a series deal with producer Norman Lear of "All in the Family Fame." The show will be a one-hour drama-comedy about the battle of the sexes and will be set on Wall Street. The network is "circling" a-list actors and actresses for the show, Silverman said.

As Senate Vote Nears on Matthew Shepard Act, GLAAD Urges Journalists to Scrutinize Anti-Gay Disinformation Campaign Against Legislation Contact: Cindi Creager, Director of National News 646-871-8019, creager@glaad.org
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
July 11th, 2007 – With a Senate vote on the Matthew Shepard Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act (S.1105) expected soon, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) today urged journalists to scrutinize the myths and misleading claims being made by those seeking to block the proposed law, as well as spotlight the impact of hate-motivated violence against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Americans. In May, the bill passed in the House of Representatives on a historic 237-180 bipartisan vote.
The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007 expands the categories covered by existing federal hate crimes law (actual or perceived race, color, religion, and national origin) to include gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability. According to the Human Rights Campaign, the law would also "[S]trengthen the ability of federal, state and local governments to investigate and prosecute hate crimes based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability and gender identity. It would strengthen state and local efforts by enabling the Justice Department to assist in the investigation and prosecution of hate crimes. The bill will also provide grants to help state and local governments meet the extraordinary expenses involved in hate crime cases."
According to the FBI, sexual orientation bias motivated 14 percent of such crimes in 2005. The Human Rights Campaign also notes that The Matthew Shepard Act is supported by more than 290 law enforcement, civil rights, civic and religious organizations. Inclusive hate crimes protections also are favored by an overwhelming majority of Americans. In a May 2007 poll, Gallup found a strong 68% in favor of expanding federal hate crimes law to cover sexual orientation, gender and gender identity. Only 27% were opposed.
“The Matthew Shepard Act sends a strong message to America that hate and the violent crimes committed in its wake are not acceptable in our society. This crucial piece of legislation is an important step in the ongoing effort to erase hate. I cannot think of a single more resounding action for the Senate to take in our son Matthew’s memory,” said Judy Shepard, executive director of the Matthew Shepard Foundation in a news release published today by the Human Rights Campaign.
In May, the passage of the bill came after heated debate on the House floor, with opponents of the legislation parroting a massive disinformation campaign being waged by anti-gay activist groups like Focus on the Family, Family Research Council and the Traditional Values Coalition in their efforts to defeat the bill. The Family Research Council, for example, is deceptively portraying The Matthew Shepard Act as a “thought crimes” bill, falsely asserting that the legislation could impinge on the First Amendment by penalizing people for voicing non-violent anti-gay beliefs.
In the midst of these and other spurious anti-gay claims, GLAAD is encouraging journalists to scrutinize attempts to misrepresent and distort the purpose, scope and impact of the proposed law. GLAAD is strongly urging reporters to speak to the Senate co-sponsors, as well as seek out the voices and opinions of those who have expertise in dealing with the aftermath of hate-motivated violence.
Anti-gay attacks on the bill are also being challenged by the bill’s bipartisan supporters in Congress, including Republican Sen. Gordon Smith (R-Ore.). In an April 13 Associated Press article, Smith said, “This act is about the prosecution of crime, not prohibition of speech. Unless they believe part of their religion is the practice of violence against others, they should not be affected by this bill."
"Sex and the City" headed to movie theaters
Today at 2:31 pm
The four women who spiced up Manhattan's singles scene for six years on the HBO television series "Sex and the City" appear headed for a big-screen reunion after all.
New Line Cinema, a corporate sibling of HBO under Time Warner Inc., is close to sealing a final deal to finance and distribute the long-stalled picture, a spokesman for the studio said on Thursday.
The project is set to begin shooting in the fall with all four stars of the HBO hit -- Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon -- on board to reprise their roles.
Longtime series executive producer Michael Patrick King will direct the film from his own script and serve as producer, along with Parker and series creator Darren Star.
While no release date has been set, the movie presumably would arrive in theaters sometime next year.
Plans for a movie were first revealed by HBO in early 2004, months before the show ended its six-season run.
But the project stalled, according to show business newspaper Daily Variety, when Cattrall sought greater script control and a salary closer to that of Parker, who was more highly paid than her co-stars because she was a co-executive producer of the series.
Variety said Cattrall ultimately was won over with a sweetened offer that included a series deal with HBO.
The New Line spokesman said it was not immediately clear whether any supporting cast members, such as Chris Noth, would join the film.
"Sex and the City," based on the work of best-selling author Candace Bushnell, was the first cable series to win an Emmy for best comedy and starred Parker as a fashion-conscious New York columnist who writes about Manhattan's dating scene.
The series co-starred Cattrall as the vixen-like public relations executive Samantha Jones; Nixon as hard-boiled lawyer Miranda Hobbes, juggling career with motherhood; and Davis as inveterate optimist Charlotte York, who married her own divorce lawyer after a long search for Mr. Right.
While many television series over the years have been based on movies or made into feature films, it is rare for prime-time shows to make the transition to the big screen with most of their original cast members.
Among the few that have done so are "Star Trek" -- both the original series and "Star Trek: The Next Generation" -- and "The X-Files."
TV's Tops and Bottoms
By Jonathan "Woody" Woodbeck
The fact is, the more laughing you do, the more calories you burn. Since the gays are always so worried about their body image, we try to do a lot of laughing! This month I decided to concentrate on the shows that always make us laugh and the shows that are also a big joke.
TV’s TOPS
Kathy Griffin: My Life on The D-List (BRAVO)
Do I really need to explain to you why this is on the top of my tops? Kathy Griffin is back, with an insanely popular new season of My Life On The D-List. Joining her is the usual gang, including her assistant Jessica, her furry friends Chance and Pom-Pom, the oh-so-important gays, and her parents (RIP Mr. Griffin, who died during the filming of this season), whom we all adore and love. Also back are our apparent regulars at RAGE in West Hollywood as well as some new people to liven things up, including Griffin’s sexy straight roommate/tour manager, Tom. Griffin is funnier than ever; booking more and more gigs (both good and bad), making appearances all over TV land, including The View, and winning gay hearts all over America. Griffin always brings a smile to my face, so if you need a laugh, check this show out—it is not to be missed.
The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno (NBC)
Anyone else think there is something sexy about Jay Leno? Okay, maybe not, but he is hysterically funny. I do stand-up from time to time, and it’s incredible for me to see Leno on a daily basis. He makes me think of new ways to be funny, creative, witty and charming—all in one hour of television. Leno continuously makes his guests feel at home with his informal comedic approach to interviews and by indulging us as he shows just how not-so-smart we all are during my favorite segment, “Jay Walking.” Jay’s the one who brought Ross the Intern into our lives. I for one will always love him just for that.
TV’s BOTTOMS
How I Met Your Mother (CBS)
I have only seen this show a handful of times, but from what I have seen of it, How I Met Your Mother made me think about how I would get that half-hour of my life back! Ouch, I know that was harsh, but the writing is sometimes questionable. There are plenty of semistellar performances by most of the cast, and by that I mean that the only two good characters on this show played by semi-newly “outed” homo Neil Patrick Harris, who plays ladies’ man (such a stretch) Barney; and by my girl Alyson Hannigan, the lesbian witch Willow from Buffy The Vampire Slayer, who plays Lily. She is reason enough to keep me watching, with her sparkling humor and effortless acting. If you are going to watch, watch because of her; otherwise, skip this show altogether, or you’ll be wondering, as I am, how in the hell you will ever get that half-hour back.
The Big Gay Sketch Show (LOGO)
You all know that I support the gays on TV, but I’m sorry—this show is just not what it could be. I have heard so much hype about The Big Gay Sketch Show, and when I finally watched it, it was like the sex I had a few weeks ago—rather disappointing (and not because of my own performance, I may add). Granted, the skits are original and witty, and play off all things important to your everyday gay, but they lack something very important—comedy! It seems as if nowadays everyone thinks they are comedians, and somehow they all got cast on this show. Okay, a bit harsh, but let me just say: if you’re going to be the only gay sketch comedy show, kick it up a notch, take a few more risks and dare to be funnier than a knock-off version of Mad TV.
Author Rushdie and TV host Lakshmi to divorce--
British author Salman Rushdie and his wife Padma Lakshmi, host of TV show "Top Chef," are getting divorced, his spokeswoman said on Monday, just two weeks after he was awarded a controversial knighthood.
Rushdie, 60, is best known for his novel "The Satanic Verses," which outraged many Muslims and sparked death threats that forced him to live in hiding for nine years. He married Lakshmi, a former model born in 1970 in India, in 2004. She was his fourth wife and the couple had no children. "Salman Rushdie has agreed to divorce his wife, Padma Lakshmi, because of her desire to end their marriage," spokeswoman Jin Auh said in a statement on his behalf. "He asks that the media respect his privacy at this difficult time," the statement said. Rushdie hit the headlines two weeks ago when he was selected for knighthood by Britain's Queen Elizabeth, provoking renewed anger among some Muslims in Iran and Pakistan.
When the Indian-born Rushdie started his romance with the model more than 20 years his junior, the British tabloids made much of their differences in age and intellectual stature. But Rushdie always defended his wife. "Anyone who's met Padma knows she's as intelligent as they come," he told The Times of London in a 2005 interview. "But, you know, it's not supposed to be permitted to be gorgeous and really smart and also very nice."
"It feels very odd to see newspaper articles saying 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Why Do Beautiful Women Love Ugly Men?"' he said in the interview. "But at this stage, I'm kind of resigned to it at -- as you say -- pushing 60." Rushdie shot to fame in 1981 when his second novel, "Midnight's Children," a magic-realist exploration of Indian history, won the Booker Prize. The late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Iran's supreme religious leader, pronounced a fatwa, or religious edict in 1989 that called on Muslims to kill Rushdie because of perceived blasphemy in his fourth novel, "The Satanic Verses." Lakshmi started her career as a model and has since acted in movies and television shows and written cookbooks. She hosts the U.S. cooking show "Top Chef" on the Bravo cable network.
Rushdie, 60, is best known for his novel "The Satanic Verses," which outraged many Muslims and sparked death threats that forced him to live in hiding for nine years. He married Lakshmi, a former model born in 1970 in India, in 2004. She was his fourth wife and the couple had no children. "Salman Rushdie has agreed to divorce his wife, Padma Lakshmi, because of her desire to end their marriage," spokeswoman Jin Auh said in a statement on his behalf. "He asks that the media respect his privacy at this difficult time," the statement said. Rushdie hit the headlines two weeks ago when he was selected for knighthood by Britain's Queen Elizabeth, provoking renewed anger among some Muslims in Iran and Pakistan.
When the Indian-born Rushdie started his romance with the model more than 20 years his junior, the British tabloids made much of their differences in age and intellectual stature. But Rushdie always defended his wife. "Anyone who's met Padma knows she's as intelligent as they come," he told The Times of London in a 2005 interview. "But, you know, it's not supposed to be permitted to be gorgeous and really smart and also very nice."
"It feels very odd to see newspaper articles saying 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Why Do Beautiful Women Love Ugly Men?"' he said in the interview. "But at this stage, I'm kind of resigned to it at -- as you say -- pushing 60." Rushdie shot to fame in 1981 when his second novel, "Midnight's Children," a magic-realist exploration of Indian history, won the Booker Prize. The late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Iran's supreme religious leader, pronounced a fatwa, or religious edict in 1989 that called on Muslims to kill Rushdie because of perceived blasphemy in his fourth novel, "The Satanic Verses." Lakshmi started her career as a model and has since acted in movies and television shows and written cookbooks. She hosts the U.S. cooking show "Top Chef" on the Bravo cable network.
LONDON -- The Spice Girls wannabe stars again. Following a calculated publicity buildup, the original Girl Power group of the 1990s announced Thursday that they have agreed to reunite for 11 concerts around the world in December and January.
The re-united Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Melanie Brown pose for the photographers on the grounds of the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London, Thursday June 28, 2007. The shows will be their first concerts since breaking up in 2001, and the first with all five of the original group since Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell quit to pursue a solo career in 1998.
"Imagine you got divorced and you've got back together with your ex-husband," Halliwell said, explaining how she felt about the reunion. "She just appreciates the fact we've let her back in," joked Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham.
The group said the shows would be in Los Angeles on Dec. 7; Las Vegas on Dec. 8; New York on Dec. 11; London on Dec. 15; Cologne, Germany, on Dec. 20; Madrid, Spain, on Dec. 23; Beijing on Jan. 10; Hong Kong on Jan. 12; Sydney, Australia, on Jan. 17; Cape Town, South Africa, on Jan. 20; and Buenos Aires, Argentina on Jan. 24.
Halliwell and Beckham joined with Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisholm, Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton and Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown to pose for photos and announce tour plans. "We wanted to say thank you to our fans. It just feels very right for us," Chisholm said. "Obviously it's nostalgic. But equally, if new fans want to come along, that's fantastic," Halliwell said. "I like to think our songs are universal and they are timeless." Their first single, "Wannabe," was released in 1996 and topped charts in 31 countries. They went on to sell more than 55 million records. But their last album, "Forever," released in 2000 and without Halliwell, fared poorly. You could now call them the Spice Mums. Beckham said the tour will be designed to accommodate the band members' seven children. Bunton is pregnant with her first child.
"Our priority is going to be our families. We want to have fun," said Beckham, who has three sons with her husband, soccer star David Beckham. "That's one of the many reasons for this, for our children to see what we used to do." In conjunction with the tour, EMI said it plans to release the first Spice Girls greatest hits album in November. The group also plans to make their first official documentary for TV broadcast. "It's going to be the most honest story that you've ever heard," Halliwell said. "You get to see the dark side of the Spice Girls, the gritty side, the tears."
Mandy
My darling friend and boss Kara and I went to see Ms Mandy Moore perform to a sold out crowd at the Roxy on Sunset last night and the show was incredible. The crowd was rather strange ranging from old men wearing wool sweaters to little kids and there moms being shocked and appauld by the loud obnoxious drunk gay men making out - no NOT me. Mandy kept us waiting for a bit but when she finally came out it was well worth it. Song after song Mandy broke down any barriers that may have been up in anyones mind that she wasn't a true and real artist - she is that and so much more! I adore her in everyway and now even so much more so after seeing her live. In the house watching the show was none other than DJ AM and Wilmer, Heidi, Spencer, and Brody from MTV's The Hills. The place has paparatzi and I am not sure if they caught it but at one point while Mandy was singing a very personal song she looked in the direction of DJ AM (her latest ex) and sang to him...rather interesting. Anyways, the highlight of the show was Mandy singing a song I posted on here a few weeks ago called Gardenia where she actually started crying at the end of the song...we love you Mandy; keep working it out! Listen to Gardenia right here, right now, then go and buy WILD HOPE - you won't regret it!
LONDON - Talk of a Spice Girls reunion has swirled for weeks — boosted by Sporty Spice herself — and on Friday the vivacious five said they would make "an announcement to the world" next week. Gossip took a major leap, and suddenly old film clips of the 1990s pop sensations were all over British television. The statement issued by the quintet's management company seemed designed to move the rumors up a notch and stretch them out for a good week. "Following weeks of speculation, the Spice Girls are set to make an official announcement to the world regarding future plans on Thursday, June 28," said the statement from 19 Entertainment. "Details regarding the announcement will be released in the coming days."
Victoria (Adams) Beckham (Posh Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) formed the Spice Girls in 1994. They became a global hit before splitting in 2001. Chisholm, who had opposed a reunion, recently told the British Broadcasting Corp. she had changed her mind. "For the first time ever, there is some truth in the rumors. We've been discussing it and it could possibly happen," the 33-year-old singer told BBC radio last week. "I've always said, `I don't want to do it, the past is the past. It was amazing, it was magical. We could never recreate it,'" Chisholm said. "But this year people have been talking about it and some of the girls have expressed an interest in doing it."
The Spice Girls' 2000 album, "Forever," had weak sales, and they began concentrating on their solo careers.
A Man comes to The View?
If there wasn't enough speculation going on around who was going to take the place of Rosie O'Donnell on The View, this article hit the press today from PEOPLE Magazine...Could Rosie's replacement be A MAN!!???
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Could the next View co-host be a man?
Insiders are buzzing that Rosie O'Donnell's replacement could be male. Specifically, they're mentioning two names: Mario Cantone and Ross Mathews. Cantone, a frequent guest on the ABC chat-fest, played Charlotte's friend Anthony on Sex and the City; Mathews is better known as "Ross the Intern" from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Both of the men are slated to fill in as guest co-hosts next month: Cantone will appear on The View on the July 12; Mathews will take a turn in O'Donnell's old seat on July 17. "Barbara's really fond of Mario," says one View insider. "So who knows?"
O'Donnell herself is a big fan of Mathews. The two have co-hosted video segments on each other's blogs, and she even gave her blessing to his appearing on The View during one video blog session. While a View spokesperson confirms that Cantone and Mathews will be guest co-hosting, he would not comment on who might fill the vacant seat permanently. "No offer has been made to anyone at this point," he said. Former View co-host Debbie Matenopoulos has championed the idea of hiring a man ever since O'Donnell announced she was leaving. "It is high time they put a gay man on that panel," Matenopoulos tells PEOPLE. "They've said 'We can't put a man here.' I disagree. Why does it have to be guys against girls? I have a better time and solve more problems sitting with my gay guy friends than my girlfriends!"
Barbara Walters would not speculate about new co-hosts – male or female – when she was presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last week. She said she and co-executive producer Bill Geddie are still looking at candidates, and may take until late July to make a decision. Other names that have been tossed around as serious contenders to join The View include Kathy Griffin, Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd – all of whom have filled in as guest co-hosts in recent weeks. Meanwhile, O'Donnell wrote on her blog Wednesday night that she would be meeting with the Price Is Right team Thursday, furthering the buzz that she'll take over for the recently retired Bob Barker.
Last week Barker told reporters at the Daytime Emmy Awards that he had "no doubt" O'Donnell would be a good host for the game show. But he told the Associated Press on Wednesday that he was neither endorsing nor choosing a replacement. "I have not been asked for my opinion, nor have I expressed one," Barker said. "I think there are several candidates who could do the show, and Rosie is certainly one of them." And O'Donnell herself sounded pessimistic about her chances in a recent video post on her blog: "I don't know if it's gonna work out," she told fans. "I watched that show the entire 35 years that Bob Barker was on it, and I just think it's a part of American nostalgia, and it's what America needs right now. It would be good for me, but I don't know if it's right for them."

5 Questions w/ Tim Gunn
I did an interview a few months back with the man of style from BRAVO's hit series PROJECT RUNWAY, Tim Gunn. On the verge of the highly inticipated 4th season of Project Runway and his own show on BRAVO called "Guide To Style, I thought I would share some of the fun questions I had the honor of asking Timmy G.
If you were going to be on Survior and they told you that you could only bring 3 luxury items that you just couldn’t live without, what would you bring and why?
TG: Hmm...luxury, eh? Do skin products count? If so, then my stash of Lab Series for Men miracle workers would be packed. How about Bombay Sapphire Gin? And my cashmere robe from Bergdorf Goodman. Actually, anything from Bergdorf Goodman would quality as a luxury item!
Better Movie – Brokeback Mountain or My Fair Lady?
TG: Oh, they’re each so different. Chacun a son gout. One is an emotionally wrenching love story -- whenever I want a good sob, I slip in the DVD and wail my guts out. The other is a Cecil Beaton wet dream – a lavish confection of costuming and choreography. I was ten when My Fair Lady was released and I believe it was during the Ascot Gavotte that I discovered I was gay.
What is your favorite thing to eat?
TG: Oh, I’d have to say popcorn. And why can’t someone among the hordes of culinary wizards invent an extremely low calorie popcorn? Why? It’s just corn kernels! And given the trans-fat witch-hunt happening here in New York, popcorn may disappear altogether. New Jersey here I come?
If they were to make a TV movie about your life, who would you want to play you? First when you were younger, second who would play you now?
TG: Oh dear. Younger? Napoleon Dynamite. Now? Ben Stein.
Favorite word in the English language and what does it mean?
TG: Preposterous. And it means just how it sounds.
Hmm
Does anyone else think that Sharon Stone is looking so haggard lately...such a pity she used to be so damn fierce now she looks a lot like the crypt keeper! HA! But in a recent interview she did have this to say which sort of redeems her "human qualities."
"There is one child dying every minute of Aids. One out of every eight women will get breast cancer. There are people all over the world who are suffering from diseases while you are spending your life worrying about a wrinkle. It's ridiculous!"

Go Hillary!!
By Susan Page, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON — New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has regained a double-digit lead over Illinois Sen. Barack Obama in the USA TODAY/Gallup Poll two weeks after the survey found the Democratic presidential rivals essentially tied.
Among Republicans, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani remains ahead, but former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson, who hasn't formally entered the race, for the first time edges into second place over Arizona Sen. John McCain.
The results show a Republican race that could be roiled by Thompson, who is targeting conservatives unsatisfied with their choices in the field so far. He is costing Giuliani most: A third of Thompson's supporters say they would otherwise back the former mayor.
The Democratic contest generally has been stable, though a USA TODAY Poll taken June 1-3 had shown Obama 1 percentage point ahead of Clinton, 30%-29%. In the new survey, Clinton leads Obama 33%-21% if former vice president Al Gore — who has neither entered the race nor ruled it out — is included among the candidates. She leads by 39%-26% if Gore isn't included. Former North Carolina senator John Edwards is then third at 13%.
"There have been 500 stories and 500 polls, but actually little has changed in this race," says Mark Penn, Clinton's chief strategist. "She has a consistently strong lead that is holding up over time." The new poll includes 334 Democrats and 182 independents who lean Democratic. Penn says including independents contributes to a survey's volatility because those voters are less committed to a candidate as well as less likely to vote in party primaries.
