Mark Foley was sexually molested by a clergyman when Foley was between the ages of 13 and 15 and "wants you to know he is a gay man," his lawyer, David Roth, said late Tuesday. Mr. Roth said the disclosure was part of his client's "recovery."
Asked why the former congressman did not reveal this information sooner, Roth said, "Shame, shame."
"As is so often the case with victims of abuse, Mark advises that he kept his shame to himself for almost 40 years," Roth said.
Foley, who checked into an alcohol rehabilitation facility in Florida, also "reiterates unequivocally that he has never had sexual contact with a minor," Roth said.
But instant messages obtained by ABC News do reveal that Congressman Foley met with an underage page in San Diego, a meeting which they spoke about in an instant message exchange from April, 2003.
Maf54: I miss you lots since san diego.
Roth said he knew but could not reveal the name and denomination of the clergyman who molested him. According to Foley's biography on his Web site, he was raised as a Roman Catholic in the West Palm Beach area.
Foley's lawyer said Foley takes responsibility for sending sexually graphic instant messages over the Internet and was under the influence of alcohol when he sent many of the messages.
He denied, however, that Foley ever offered to provide alcohol for teens at his Capitol Hill apartment.
But according to an instant message provided to ABC News by a former page, Foley did make such an offer to a former page in April, 2003.
Maf54: then we can have a few drinks
Maf54: lol
Teen: yes yes ;-)
Maf54: your not old enough to drink
Teen: shhh....
Maf54: ok
Teen: thats not what my ID says
Teen: lol
Maf54: ok
Teen: i probably shouldnt be telling you that huh
Maf54: we may need to drink at my house so we dont get busted

Take it all away
Thinking of this today, Not sure why...someone I am connected to must need it...so for you...Here it is...
So much beauty in life
Shining on the outside
Empty on the inside
I get lost sometimes
Blinded by the flashing lights
Distractions always in my eyes
So i'm following the sound, the sound of my heart
Beating
[chorus]
You can take it all away
I don't need it
Underneath, i'll still be the same
You can take it all away
I don't need it, it's not me
You can take it all, take it all away
I'll still be the same
Are you hiding still?
Don't you want to love yourself?
Don't you know that someone will?
Time can turn it around
Leave it all that's dribbled down
That's the only way to find it out
Are you following the sound, the sound of your heart?
Beating
[chorus]
Coming in with nothing, leaving with the same
It's all inside
Coming in with nothing, the only thing that saves
Is here inside
So much beauty in life
Shining on the outside
Empty on the inside
I get lost sometimes
Blinded by the flashing lights
Distractions always in my eyes
So i'm following the sound, the sound of my heart
Beating
[chorus]
You can take it all away
I don't need it
Underneath, i'll still be the same
You can take it all away

TV Tops
Jesus! Did the networks out do themselves for this Fall season. I have so much DVR'd on my box that I am running out of space. I figured that if you are wondering what you should be watching, I'd clue you into what is a must see this fall season:
5. TOP CHEF Season 2 - BRAVO - Wednesday's @ 10 pm - Okay so I maybe a little partial to the show because I worked on it but this show has simply got that spark that will make everyone tune in every single week. Watch the 15 new chefs go head to head to earn the title of Top Chef. The season premiere is on Wed. Oct. 18th at 11 pm right after the season finale of Project Runway 3 and then it will go to 10 pm every Wed. only on BRAVO...watch what happens. See a preview of the new season on BRAVOTV.cm
4. RUNAWAY - THE CW - Mondays @ 9 PM - Donnie Walhberg stars in a great new hit for The newly formed network known as the CW (which is the combination of the WB and UPN.) The show follows a father and his wife and 3 kids on the run from the law after someone framed the dad for murder. They have moved into a new neighborhood and are being hunted and trying to hide but somehow remain a family after changing everything they know. The family is in danger of being found because the people who framed the father are out to kill his kids. This is a must watch but since it's on the same time as Heroes, DVR this one. Its good but worth the hour wait.
3. Grey's Anatomy - ABC - Thursday's @ 9 PM - Lord oh Lord, Fuck ER, Give me my GREYS! I love this show so much I had to get the first 2 seasons on DVD and catch up so I would get what was going on this season. If it was written well enough reasons to also watch are Dr. McDreamy, Mr. Dempsey who I have met in person at Whole Foods where we held some conversation and he is just as dreamy in person as he is on TV. Plus hello, My girl Sandra O is freakin' fabulous on this show...So whatcha waiting for...Jump aboard the Grey's Train, I did and Justin Chambers is sitting right next to me...yummy!
2. PRISON BREAK - FOX - Monday's @ 8 PM - I didn't watch the first season and picked up from the beginning of this season and I am so in love with this show. Plus hello...FUCKIN 2 HOTTIES are the stars of this show. It's full of action, nonstop drama, and twists and turns all over the place, its one of the best shows FOX has put out since 24 started! A must watch...if the shows not reason enough...check out the hotties on FOX.com/prisonbreak
1. Heroes - NBC - Monday's 9 PM - I have never ever been more excited to watch a new show and it did not let me down. Heroes is by far one of the best shows I have ever seen. Brilliant story telling and it continuously will make you think through out the program. The basis of the show is that in the ordinary world extra-ordinary people exist with powers that can not be explained. Is it that our human genetic code has starting evolving or is it that these people have always existed but are somehow being brought together for the better of mankind that is destroying itself on a daily basis. Each character is defined and as weeks go on we will learn more about them and about others like them. I can not wait till next week and so should you...check out NBC.com right now to watch the premiere episode of NBC's new hit...HEROES!!

NYC, Runway, MADNESS
It's been a couple of week since I posted, but its honestly rightfully so. My life has been overwhelmed; from visiting friends and family in Upstate NY, to working on Project Runway in NYC, to bonding and making some amazing new friends in NYC and catching up with some old ones. NYC connected with my soul and its only been a day and I already miss it. I realized on this trip just how blessed I am. Going from city to city, I have connected with many and somehow just being me leaves an imprint on people that truly affects them and I get the joy of having friends all over this country. Thank you to all of you...for just being you and allowing me to be me. Here are several pics from NYC...more to come! Much love!

DK #1
Just like I predicted in an earlier blog. My girls from Danity Kane have debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts; if you haven't already, get this album! Every single song is worth listening to...look out for these bumping singles: Hold Me Down, Want it, and of course One Shot....YOU GO DIDDY AND DK!! HOLLA!
Birthday Crazyness
Lets recap the events of this past weekend, they are clearly to good not to share! (Sidenote: This blog is fairly long but oh so fun to read, pardon my spelling errors as I was feeling to lazy to read through again and spell check it! hahah)
Friday:
I had worked all day and flew home to change to arrive promptly at my good friend Iris' Birthday party happening at L Scorpion on Hollywood Blvd. Greeted by my fabulous lady friends I immediatly got myself a cocktail and was charged $15 for it...I realized there would be a whole lotta nursing of my drinks to come. The little get together was a lot of fun joined by Iris' closest friends like Julie. Julie is a tall, beautiful blond who in my opinion is a freaking sweetheart and who I hope to spend some more time with. Her and I chatted a bit when a couple of her friends showed so our convo was cut short.
Kristin and I spent the entire evening doing 3 things, taking pictures of ourselves, playing "Is he or isn't he GAY?", and laughing hysterically about the girl who did not want her picture taken and when we went to threw her hand in the air like she was Princess Diana being chased at photographers...truly classic. We of course were joined by some people from SCOUT including the sweet and oh so gay boy who works for DC who was incredibly funny and great to hang out with. It of course would not be Hollywood if we didn't have a celebrity sighting; this time it was the star of Veronica Mars, whos name is escaping me and I can't be bothered to look it up. All in all it was a fun but tame evening, espcially in lue of what was to come on Saurday night.
Saturday:
I started the day before my birthday, but the 2nd day in a series of 3 that I would be celebrating for my birthday, with a brunch outting with my old roommates and my "Gay dads" from San Francisco who came down with my soon to be relocated friend Wayne to celebrate with me. The food at GRUB was incredible and if you ever get to go there, ORDER THE BACON!! SIMPLY INCREDIBLE!! We left there to go and lay by the pool of the hotel they were staying at where this foreign woman layed NAKED by the pool, clearly trying to avoid tan lines. Sitting next to her was her BF who was quite an attractive man BUT had at least a small C cup set of man boobs. Not pretty! I left my boys to get some stuff done and then a few hours later joined Wayne and Paul for Dinner at a fabulous sushi place on Santa Monica where we enjoyed the best Spicy Tuna Roll EVER. We left to get my birthday cake, where madness insued because the bakery was closed and Paul and I were having none of it. We got a manager to get us a cake out of the frige and headed to the checkout where we ran into Charlie O'Connell, Jerry's Brother, who looked fine as hell, scruffy and in pink shorts...interesting. Anyways, we darted to my house to finish getting ready where Kristin met me and we all left to head to ICANDY for the party. The party was amazing; Everyone came, we all drank way to much, danced way to much, took a lot of pictures, and enjoyed looking and being served by the icandy at ICANDY. The staff was truly incredible and Ireally apperciate the DJ playing everything I wanted to hear including "TURN IT UP" by Paris and FutureSex/Lovesongs by Justin Timberlake both of which are not released yet as singles. Do you love it!?
It was great having friends from NY meet friends from LA who met friends from San Francisco who met friends from Reality TV hahaha...and everyone got along! We headed back to my house; and when I say we, I mean myself, Austin, his friend Adam, my roomie Bobby and countless other cute gay boys. After playing some cards and making out with a very cute boy, I called it a night...oh and of course our neighbor showing up in a MooMoo and yelling at us...sorry girl!
SUNDAY:
Okay, so finally I officially turned 25. This birthday had so much meaning to me. I have overcome so much and made my life so drastically different but in such a positive way and I am so very proud of the work that I have done to make it what it is...thank god for being blessed and having strong people to walk through life with me along the way. I saw the boys from SF for some food and head turning for Brunch at the ABBEY. I really miss Brad and Paul, such lights in my life and it is hard not having them around all the time. Anywhoo, I headed to The Standard in Hollywood to take part in a great EMMY party being thrown by Project Runway and The Magical Elves. It was a great time and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Sadly, we didn't win and lost to the worst reality show ever; the Amazing Race. OYE! I ran into Runway Producer and friend Michael Rucker who also writes a behind the scenes blog for Bravotv.com about Runway that you should all check out, who told us he had heard that John Stewart who presented the award, turned to Colbert after presenting it to Amazing Race and said "It should of been Runway!" --Damn right I tell you! So later in the evening Tim Gunn arrived and hung out with the crowd. I was in the back when I heard a bunch of people calling my name. I walked towards the gathered crowd and realized Tim Gunn was standing there with a birthday cake and led the crowd, like only he can, in singing me Happy Birthday.
I was floored, I have been such a huge fan of Runway and to now not only be working on the show but having the one and only Tim Gunn sing me Happy Birthday, it was almost to much for a gay boy to bear. Several photo ops later I was trying to leave when I ran into American Idol 5 Winner Taylor Hicks who was leaving as well from our party. I went up to him and said "Hey both of our shows lost tonight, lets take a picture!", to which he responded, drunkly, "Sure! I thought you guys were going to win for sure!" That's right even the American Idol himself thought Project Runway should of won...Robbed I tell you ROBBED!!
Much love to everyone for one of the most amazing birthdays I could of only dreamed of. Being 25 is going to be a good year... I can feel it!
Stay Fabulous!

Birthday
Y Britney Y
Okay, so for years I have been a huge supporter of Britney Spears. When she dressed sexy, when she girated the wrong way, when she "cheated" on Justin, when she made out with Madonna; I have always stood my ground and been an advocate of my TOXIC princess. Christ even when Britney decided to marry that loser K-Fed I said "Hey...hey maybe it is real LOVE?"
Now I sit here asking myself "What was I thinking!?"
WHERE DID BRITNEY GO!!!??? OH OH WHERE DID BRITNEY GO!!
Apparently there really are Aliens who have swooped down to the earth, stolen the Britney who had her shit together, who was an entertainer, who loved strutting her shit, who loved being just Britney...and replaced her with a real life White Trash Barbie!
Oh Britney, Y oh Y...I MISS YOU...COME BACK GIRL!! DONT GO INTO THE LIGHT!!

Runway Eps 4 & 5
So I am posting about episodes 4 & 5 to catch up so all of you active blog readers CAN STOP complaining that I haven't updated my runway rewind blog in forever.
Ep. 4: Working in reality TV I have a certain substantial right to say what Keith Michael did was wrong and clearly against the rules and Kayne and the gang had every single right to say something about it. These designers fight to be apart of this show...thousands of people try out for this show and a lot of very talented people do not make the show and he did. He and every other contestant have an unwritten "must do" law when being on the show that they MUST not cheat and must remain true to themselves as a designer and realize how lucky they are to be apart of this crazy show. Keith Michael may have been a great designer and who knows how far he would of made it but he clearly did what shouldnt have been done and got the boot because of it. Keith, sorry you got the early boot, good luck in all you do. Congrats to Angela's team for pulling it together, putting aside there differences and really "making it work" and designing a great piece that deserved to win. To Angelas credit, even though her work thus far has been "shit" I am very impressed how she pulled it together, trusted her partners, and made it happen for herself and Michael and Laura...You go girL!
Ep. 5: HOTT PINK BOOTY SHORTS!! I really enjoyed this episode and thought the quality of the pieces were of very high quality but lets chat briefly about my boy Robert. For god sakes man, did you check your gay card at the door, where is your exciting sense of style that you showed us in the beginning. The judges had every right to call his stuff boring because this week and last weeks were both quite boring and he needs to kick it up a notch if he plans on being around for awhile. So back to the booty shorts, oye, I LOVED THEM!! No mind you, I did love my girl Kaynes work in this episode...it was simply fierce. Michael simply got himself caught up in the spirit of the challenge, channeled my sista Pam G., and made an outfit that would make any of those rap video dancers take a double take and holla "SAY WHAT!" YOU go boy...now if we can just get him to stop taking offense to the fact that people think he's gay we would truly LOVE MK.
I have yet to watch Ep. 6 so stay tuned for my Runway Rewind of Ep. 6 to come...
STAY FABULOUS BITCHES!

Boy George reports for NYC trash duty
By SAMANTHA GROSS, Associated Press Writer 42 minutes ago
NEW YORK - With a city-issued broom in his hand, Boy George started his court-ordered community service early Monday, sweeping leaves and trash off the sidewalks of New York.
It took less than an hour for the former Culture Club frontman to get into a spat with the media.
"You think you're better than me?" he yelled. "Go home. Let me do my community service."
Boy George took to the streets of Manhattan as a Department of Sanitation worker wearing an orange vest, dark capri pants, shoes without socks, and without the wild makeup and androgynous style that made him so recognizable as the '80s icon who sang "Karma Chameleon" and "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?"
"This is supposed to be making me humble. Let me do this," he said. "I just want to do my job."
The singer, born George O'Dowd, was ordered to spend five days working for the Department of Sanitation after pleading guilty in March to falsely reporting a burglary at his lower Manhattan apartment. The officers who responded found cocaine instead.
At 7 a.m. Monday, a sport utility vehicle pulled up at a Lower East Side sanitation depot. The agency planned to issue the singer a shovel, broom, plastic bags and gloves for the job of picking up trash on the city's streets.
In June, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Anthony Ferrara issued a warrant for O'Dowd's arrest after he initially failed to complete the requirements of his plea deal. When O'Dowd appeared in court 10 days later, Ferrara called off the warrant but warned the singer he could not escape his community service commitment.
"It's up to you whether you make it an exercise in humiliation or in humility," Ferrara told O'Dowd.
O'Dowd, 45, initially envisioned a service project more in line with his status as an '80s icon.
He petitioned to spend the time helping teenagers make a public service announcement. Among his other proposals to the court: holding a fashion and makeup workshop, serving as a DJ at an
HIV/
AIDS benefit or doing telephone outreach.
Boy George's manager, Jeremy Pearce, told reporters shortly after the singer arrived for his first day on the job: "He doesn't show any kind of emotion about these things. He takes it in his stride."
"He doesn't need to be humiliated," Pearce said. "He's a humble person."
"Things outside in the street were a little chaotic," said Sanitation spokesman Keith Mellis. "We'll see if there's some cleaning that can be done inside."
The sweeping later resumed in a gated Sanitation parking lot.
"This is for everyone's safety," Deputy Sanitation Chief Albert Durrell said as photographers crowded outside the gate. He said the day's work also might include mopping inside the depot.
Boy George appeared to be in good spirits during a late-morning break, waving to reporters on the other side of a chain-link fence and yelling, "How are you?" before returning to work.

Miami Herald Review: Mariah Carey shines as tour opens in Miami // 12:10 PM EST Updated by Lynn
The Mariah Carey saga is one of the most intriguing stories in pop-music history: After riding her five-octave voice to become the best-selling female performer of the 1990s, she suffered a spectacular public meltdown in 2001.
The songbird signed an $80 million deal with Virgin Records, but quickly sabotaged her success by posting suicidal messages on her website, appearing on MTV's Total Request Live dressed in a T-shirt and nothing else, and starring in the universally ridiculed movie Glitter. Virgin ended up eating $28 million of her contract just so she'd go away.
Carey's personal life never dipped so low as that of her diva rival Whitney Houston, but until last year's chart-topping comeback album The Emancipation of Mimi, Carey had become a laughingstock in the music business.
Saturday night at downtown Miami's American Airlines Arena, Carey showed a near sellout crowd that she and superstardom definitely still belong together. This kick-off date of her Adventures of Mimi tour had plenty of glitter, but only the good kind.
The only negative was the hourlong wait after opening act Busta Rhymes energized the already packed house -- but Carey's fans didn't seem to mind. Just before 10 p.m., the crowd roared as a radiant Carey, classy, composed and in complete control, kicked things off with her lively new hit It's Like That.
Unlike her 2000 tour, which opened with a 10-minute video featuring Carey's evil twin Bianca, who tries to hurt the ''good Mariah,'' her Mimi show emphasizes substance over inane skits. The sequined singer -- even her microphone was decked out in matching sequins -- took her adoring fans on a tour through all her biggest hits, including Dreamlover, Honey, My All, Shake It Off, Fly Like A Bird, Fantasy (during which she ventured out into the crowd), Thank God I Found You, Hero and her soaring cover of The Jackson 5's I'll Be There.
But she wasn't done: For her encore, Carey came out in a sparkling ''Miami blue'' dress she said she bought especially for the Magic City and closed with a bang, singing her monster hit We Belong Together and Butterfly -- a fitting ending that represented her metamorphosis from washed-up diva to reborn superstar.
Busta Rhymes was a fitting warm-up, performing Give It To Me (his duet with Mariah) and peppering his rapid-fire rap set with shout-outs to Don't Cha (his hit with the Pussycat Dolls) and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Give It Away.

SF Chronicle Article: A lil blurb about me!
THE INSIDE SCOOP
Bazirgan strikes out on his own
Amanda Berne
Wednesday, June 7, 2006
Shortly after he took over the kitchen at Baraka in San Francisco, David Bazirgan was named a 2005 Chronicle Rising Star Chef. Within the year, he was put in charge of three restaurants -- La Suite, Baraka and Chez Papa, which all feature different cuisines and styles.
It's been a whirlwind, but by the end of the month, he'll no longer be the executive chef at any of them. Bazirgan gave owner Jocelyn Bulow three months' notice and is on the hunt for a restaurant of his own.
The parting was amicable, Bazirgan says, but "It was just time for me to move on and do my own thing."
Bazirgan hopes to do a fine-dining oriented restaurant, but in a low-key style he feels befits San Francisco. He's aiming for a lower price point than most fine-dining establishments, but will eventually offer tasting menus and wine pairings.
At Chez Papa (1401 18th St., at Missouri) Bazirgan has already been replaced by Olivier Souvestre. Souvestre worked as chef de cuisine at Spigalina in Lenox, Mass., and was executive chef at La Guirlande de Julie in Paris. Bulow says that by the end of the month half the menu will be different, reflecting the Provencal style that Bulow and partners originally intended for the restaurant.
At Baraka (288 Connecticut, at 18th Street), chef de cuisine Ereme Passado takes over. Passado has been with the restaurant for three years and, according to Bulow, was already overseeing the kitchen.
As for La Suite, Bulow said in an e-mail that he will close it at the end of July and reopen it in September as a totally new restaurant.
Although I have an "in" on what's going to happen my lips are under lock and key. For now.
I fell in love with La Cocina when I visited it at an open house a couple of months ago. The "incubator kitchen" in the Mission District is a nonprofit organization that helps local low-income people create and market food products by providing a kitchen, storage space and professional development and support.
Now, the group will have its own retail outlet starting next month at the Sunday market at the Ferry Building. The hot food vendors will rotate from week to week, but the specialty products like the can't-believe-they're-vegan Lovemore Gourmet chocolates and beautifully simple Cmb Sweets will always be available.
As reported last week in Scoop, the Red Grill and Whiskey Lounge (4063 18th St., near Castro) has been sold. Now, I can tell you who the buyers are: the managing partners of the Glen Park hot spot Chenery Park (683 Chenery St., at Diamond).
"We want people to go to both restaurants, but for different reasons," says Joe Kowal, also a partner.
Kowal and a fourth partner John Bedard have promoted server Matt Walker to be general manager of the new location, very tentatively named Eureka Restaurant & Bar. It's set to open in early fall, after it's freshened up with new paint and carpeting and a more upscale vibe to appeal to the Castro clientele.
Edible Communities have been popping up at farmers' markets and stores around the country. The free local publications focus on organic, sustainable and other food issues in a magazine-style newsletter format.
Edible started in Ojai (Ventura County), and each one is usually owned, published and edited by one person.
Although the Edibles just hit the Bay Area within the past year, they're already going through some changes. Writer-editor Bruce Cole is now publisher and editor of Edible San Francisco, which will combine San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma and San Mateo counties. Cheryl Koehler will fill both jobs for Edible East Bay.
No stranger to online media, SauteWednesday.com founder Cole is designing a Web site called Edible Nation, which will launch in July.
Edible Sonoma, which published just one issue, has officially ended production.
Caught up with Lance Dean Velasquez, owner of the just-closed Bendean in Berkeley. All is well, but he has traded in owning a restaurant for a job as the food and beverage director/executive chef of City Beach, a conference center in Fremont that does outside catering and special functions, as well as running an on-site restaurant called Pineapple Bar & Grill.
"It's a great company and will position me in an easier transition to get out of the restaurant business," says Valesquez. "My son is 9, and I don't want him saying, 'Where were you?' when he is 16."
Bendean (1647 Solano Ave., at Ventura) is up for sale.
More than 150 people showed up in San Francisco for round one of Bravo's "Top Chef" auditions at the Sir Francis Drake on Sunday. In answer to a Craigslist ad, home chefs, ex-chefs and professional chefs came out to compete to be on the reality show where the winner gets a good chunk of change -- nice collateral to start a restaurant.
Surprisingly, I ran into a few chefs I know, including Lime's Sharon Ardiana and former Home chef Jeff Banker. Ardiana said she didn't consider trying out until casting coordinator Woody Woodbeck recruited her from Lime's kitchen, but that it would definitely be an interesting opportunity if she made the cut.
Upon entering, yours truly was asked: "Are you here to be a supportive girlfriend?" Maybe I should have competed after all.

Celebrate
Hey there everyone!! Wow my blog has been getting nearly 1000 hits a week which is really incredible and makes me wish I could post more often but things are so crazy right now, so I do apologize. I have been incredibly busy working on the 2nd exciting season of Top Chef which premieres on BRAVO in October. How exciting it is to be making a 2nd season of this show, the feedback from the first season was exciting and extremely positive so now going into the 2nd season, in a new city (LA) and with a new Host (Padma Lakshmi; Google her), everyone is super stoked for you to all see it, so watch for that in October.
Hope you all have been enjoying the new season of Project Runway and exciting news for me is that I will be in NYC working on the TOP SECRET finale in September. So all of you NYC peeps of mine, be ready, though I will be working non-stop I will make sometime to go out and about with all of you!!
I am finally heading home for the first time in almost a year, though I was on the east coast for my Nonnies funeral in March; I really didn't get to see anyone. I am super excited to see all of my friends and family. I go through a serious withdrawal from them at certain points, espicially around my birthday and others close to me who celebrate big events; such as my niece turning 1 who I will get to share that with when I come home. Though I may not speak of them often, I have an incredibly supportive sibiling tree...My brother Ray and my sisters Jenn and Sonja are truly such incredible motivators in my life and continually make me proud. My brother has grown so much since I moved to CA and I never would of thought he would of become the young man he is today, he means the world to me. We have come from so little and fight day in and day out for emotional and financial stability but always find time to connect and express love and support to one another. I pray for and continue to work towards my dreams and success so I can help him expierence all the things life is intended for. Anyways, I will be arriving on the morning of Aug. 31st and be there til the 4th of Sept, though a very short trip, I'm going to try and do as much as I can and see everyone I can while I am there. (My best friend Bri is right now jumping up and down celebrating that I am coming home...I MISS YOU TO GIRL!!)
In just about 22 days I will be turning 25 years old. For me this is kind of a surreal age, because when I first went into to see my doctor about my surgery, he told me my last option would be the surgery and that if I didn't have it done and continued on the horrible health road I was on, I would not make it to see 25, and here I am, feeling healthy, loving my life, on the road to be the success I have always dreamed of and finally finding an inner peace I have always wanted.
Thank for checking out my blog and I look forward to hearing from you all soon...
2006 brings more fun to come...

Project Runway Ep. 3
Like every other American that doesn't live under a rock; I am incredibly in love with this season of Project Runway. The designers are such characters that not only do they keep the viewers enthralled through there designs and work and the concepts of Project Runway keep us watching week after week, over and over again. On this weeks episode of Runway, the designers learn they will have to make a design for there model and a matching (or nearly) design for the hottest fashion accessory around...A cute little doggie. I, like most of you, have a HUGE weak spot for cute, little, adorable, cuddleable doggies and was super excited about seeing what the designers would come up with. With watching the episode of course, I could of bet money on the fact that Bradley would be heading home and sadly enough doing so on his birthday. But towards the end and after seeing the other designers pieces, I started to lean towards the complete opposite and really make me wonder who would be Aud'f off this week. Anyone else wondering what the F was up with Keith and his Doggie Design...you made that sash? NO YOU DIDNT!! Heidi called you out and proved that you were full of IT!!
Anyways...Can I just take a moment and express how much I love Tim Gunn. As opinionated mentor to the designers, he is caring and honest all at once, he tells the designers like it is and doesn't bite his tongue, he wants them to succeed. I enjoy his "Carry on" and "Make it work" as much as I do a good Rum & Coke, which is a lot. I can possibly go out on a limb and admit I have a slight man crush on Mr. Gunn. I have probably lost half of my readers right now going on and on with my older man fetish, so let me get back to this weeks review.
The models take the runway and one by one as always the designs for this week stroll out. My favorites were of course Jeffrey, Robert, and Alison, who I was extremely disappointed that she did not win. Her design was simply flawless and seemed to have much more passion behind it then Uli's. Let me briefly chat about Uli, though she maybe a good designer, she lacks something. I can't quite put my finger on it, but she just doesn't seem to be as sellable as the others, maybe it's because I can never take her seriously when she talks, that accent drives me CRAZY!! Now don't get me wrong I have nothing against foreigners, believe me my friends call me the "Gay United Nations", I just feel she lacks an incredibly important human quality that is so very much so needed to be a designer that people want to buy from. But it's still very early and I am sure I will fall in love with her just like every other gay man that watches this show. Okay so my least favorites, were Katherine, Keith, and Angela. Sidebar about Angela, we met through her brother who I am friends with and I thought she was darling, but her designs are just so out there, I just was at a loss for what she was thinking this week and WHY did her model look so much like her and the way she was dressed!!??
So the winner this week was Uli, again I was VERY disappointed by this feeling very strongly that Alison deserved to win.
As always, watch again next week where the biggest dramatic moment ever happens and is well worth seeing!!!
Now for my favorite part, here is the quote of the week:
"That is a hot looking mama to work with kids, belly out, boobies out, DAMN!" - Heidi Klum
Till next week..."Stay Focused and STAY FABULOUS!" MUCH LOVE!

Project Runway Ep. 2
Sorry it took me a little bit to finally watch Episode 2 and blog about it for all of you but I have been a weebit busy with production on Top Chef 2. Before I get into my review, make sure you check out Bravotv.com and read "Rucker's Blog"; it's a behind the scenes look at Project Runway from a producers stand point, its really interesting to read for those of you who are always wondering what goes on behind the camera and why the producers never speak out when contestants do...Ehh Zulema...well worth the read...
Okay, so Episode 2, Miss America Tara Connor is the special guest judge and asks the designers to create a dress for her to wear to the upcoming Miss Universe pageant she will be competing in this upcoming weekend. (Keep an eye out on Nancy O'dell's dress, Nick V from Runway 2 designed it!!) NOW if you all watched last weeks episode you will already have thought the same thing I did; KAYNE WILL WIN! This amazing designer does this shit for a living and it serves right that he would design something some amazing which he DID and that he would win, WHICH HE DID!! So Congrats to Kayne with the help of Gym Bunny Robert Best.
Okay, I have to just come out and say it. I am so over 2 things on this season already. Number 1 being VINCENT!! How dare he go out on that runway and say such horrible things about Angela and say how she made this a "nightmare" experience for him when all the time they , well him, were working on the gown, he wouldn't even let her go near him let alone touch it. Oh and then he says "I need you to move back 3 feet"; for me that would of been hit, my heels would of come off, there go my hoops earring, I done turned my rings around, and would of knocked that mother f'er on his ass. Teamwork Vincent teamwork...Look up the meaning you douche! Secondly, I am so over Keith Michael, pompous, arrogant, and just plain douchtastic, he seems to just get in over his head and pretend like he really knows what he is doing, well you don't Keith, in fact I think Malan's dress was MUCH better than yours anyday!
Speaking of which, my boy Malan was voted off this week. I have to say after the first episode I found Malan to be sweet yet intense and of course like all designers on this show competitive. Never once did I think he was a jerk, or rude, or mean to any of the other designers like this board bloggers are writing about. Malan is very passionate about his work, so much so it brings him to tears, how many of you out there can say you believe so much in something or have so much passion about something that it brings you to tears, probably little to none of you. Malan's dress may have been overdone but it was NO WHERE NEAR horrible. I was sad to see him go and will hopefully see a lot more of him in the future. Best to you Malan, my hat is tipped and I wish you the best, and yes darling, the show must go on.
WAIT! I almost forgot, how sad at first I was when I heard someone was sitting in for Michael Koor's who I ADORE, but hello...VERA WANG! WOW! That is the power of Project Runway, such an incredible designer taking part in this show really shows how seriously this show is being taken.
Okay and to finish this weeks blog I have to end with this bit of conversation between Robert and Kayne...QUOTE OF THE SEASON THUS FAR!!
"Robert, we bought 4 millions pounds of Rhinestones, we will glue them on this dress until our fingernails bleed!"
"I'm just say girl, she's a beauty queen, NOT a disco ball!"
LOVES IT, MEANS IT! Till next week...Happy watching!!

A moment
Hey guys! So sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days. We have just started shooting for the 2nd and exciting season of Top Chef and I have been slammed with long work days and little amounts of sleep...Ahhh the life of production. I am very excited to be apart of the show that I have been apart of from the beginning and really see the show grow, from ratings to the kitchen. I have been lucky enough to form some friendships with cast members of season 1 and recently got to chat with winner Harold...Who is working his ass off (a nice one at that ha) to open his restaurant this fall in NYC called Perilla so keep an eye out for that. (picture above was taken in Vegas moments after Harold won!!)
Also so you fans of my blog know, I have yet to watch this weeks Project Runway episode so of course stayed tuned for my review of that. Though very exciting news that I have yet to talk about...Ratings for Project Runway 3 are through the roof...it's all very exciting for everyone apart of it and we hope for continued and growing success of the show.
Wish the peeps at Runway the best of luck...The EMMY's are on Aug. 27th...which could be a good sign seeing it's my birthday.
Anyways, of course stay tuned for more of my blogger notes and reviews.

Project Runway Ep. 1
Okay okay, So by popular demand I have decided to do a weekly blogger review of the new amazing season of Project Runway. I will state right off the bat, that even though I work for the production company behind this amazing show, I do NOT know anything about it, I don't know who gets the boot when, who the finalists are, etc...so DONT even think I have inside information because I don't. I don't want to know because I, like many of you, am a HUGE fan of the show. FINALLY...15 new, talented, exciting, and fabulous designers are fighting for the opportunity of a lifetime and chance for stardom. Though with the show doing so well and now re-airing on network giant and owner of Bravo; NBC, Runway may attract an even larger audience and soon take over the world, well not really but in a producers dream world, it would happen.
Episode 1 begins with all 15 designers meeting for the first time at the Beautiful ATLAS apartments in NYC. After all the designers are introduced to the audience and to each other, they all realize they have a letter, which leads to there trip to join Heidi and Tim on the rooftop of the ATLAS building for some bubbly! On a slight sidebar, is it just me or has Tim Gunn really accepted his gayness and now seem like a screaming queen...DESIGNERS has never sounded gayer! HA, though I have to admit, I kinda have a man-crush on him. Okay so then it hits, BOOM, the first challenge, INNOVATION: Use anything and everything in your apartment to make a garment from...YOUR TIME STARTS NOW!
Off the 15 hopefuls run to there assigned apartments to tear apart everything. I felt like I was watching a WWE No Holds Barred match; these bitches didn't give a shit what they were tearing apart. From the curtains, to the beds, placemat, lamp shades, anything and everything was up for grabs. There is just something so different about this years 15 hopefuls, maybe with all of the success of the 2nd season, they are already bringing there A game compared to last season where it took a few challenges before the stuff got to be pretty rockstar!
So here it is, to the best of my ability, with being as nice as possible in some cases, I figured I'd give you my one word association about each cast member keeping it simple and short:
Keith- sketchy
Angela- Unique
Michael- Off-the-chain
Alison- Classic
Kayne- AMAZING!
Jeffrey- Kinda-HOTT!
Laura- Flawless
Malan- Intriguing
Bradley- Hy-F'N-sterical!
Uli- Perfectionist
Katherine- Street-savy
Vincent- Tragic with a side of Hy-F'N-sterical!
Bonnie- Elegant
Stacy- Yikes!
Robert- GRRRR!! (Come on now, he's funny to and cute!)
So, after some fabulous hair and makeup, the models take the runway for the first walk of the season. Judges are set, designers are set, as the designs come down the runway. Now I am not going to comment about each design but wanted to point out my 3 favorites are; Laura's amazing Jacket, so elegant and charming, though the leaves were a little much, it brought the piece together nicely. Robert Best's cute little dress looked flawless with the low back and the red ribbon around the waist, just so cute, though very Barbie esq. though I am sure he will hear that a lot through out the season. And of course I loved Kayne's piece, just so elegant and well made, something he is good at and it showed. Right off the bat, I am pulling for him. Though I also am very excited about Michael Knight, finally a HOTT black man from ATL here to represent and prove that straight dudes can make good clothes to...LOVES IT!
All in all the first episode kept me laughing and interested the entire time, it's of course well cut and shot and the peeps behind this show know there shit...Keep it up, I can't wait till next week.

Kristian
I met a gentlemen by the name of Kristian when I was working on ABC's fallen reality dating series HOW TO GET THE GUY and we instantly fell in love. Well actually I fell in love, he has a wife, but whatever. Kristian is an amazing photographer and I have always found his photography to be very powerful and at times breathtaking. I wanted to share this one he recently shared with me from his trip to London, its a piece of the Berlin Wall that is located outside Imperial War Museum. Once again, the simplest of pictures becomes a work of art...Thanks Kristian for making me smile; humanity is real.

Club Woodrina
Often times my friends will ask me "What are you listening to?" or "What's the hott song out right now?"; this is mostly because of my background in Radio and because I have a fine tuned ear to what is good music and what isn't. Now granted I may have a completely different taste then most people but when it comes to what's HOTT and what's blazing up the radio or blasting off on your ITUNES...I know it!
I thought I'd put together my hott top ten playlist of the summer...Check it out and if you want even download the songs of I-Tunes...Let me know whatcha think!?
Club Woodrina Hott List - Summer 2006
1. Beyonce feat. Jay-Z "Deja Vu" - They done did it again! B and J have once again made a hit that you cant just help but shake your ass to. To top it all off, Beyonce has gotten herself a 12 piece all girls band that will make for a powerful combo on her album and on the road.
2. Justin Timberlake "Sexyback" - You can listen to this brand-new track via my MYSPACE page (myspace.com/woody827), but my boy JT has done it again. With help from Timbaland, this fresh hott new track is sure to be blowing up the charts and your Itunes...Don't forget to bring your SEXYBACK! HOLLA!
3. Christina Aguilera "Ain't No Other Man" - Maybe it's because I have a serious weak spot for this girl's voice, but this could be one of the best songs of her career. Ms. Dirrty herself brilliantly blends a old school jazz sound with the hippest of the hip lyrics and sounds of today...YOU GO GIRL!!
4. Mary J Blige "ONE" - This song features U2 and after the amazing version of it that Mary did with Elliot on the American Idol Finale that made the hair on my arms stand up, it was a given that this would make the list.
5. Gnarls Barkley "Crazy" - Come on now! You know when you hear this song, something comes over your body, your hips start to go from side to side, you mouth the words, and you feel the Gnarls effect taking over...LOVES IT!
6. Pussycat Dolls "BEEP" - Here they go again, our modern day HOTT Spice Girls, the DOLLS have done it again with this dance joint that makes you just want to shake your BEEP BEEP...Go ahead, you know you want to!
7. James Blunt "Goodbye My Lover" - Ahhh James Blunt, does this guy know how to write a song or what. He of course doesn't disappoint with this song; heartfelt, emotional grasping at who a person is, Mr Blunt hits the nail on the head with Goodbye my Lover!
8. Nick Lachey "resolution" - Though this hasn't been released as a single, this song speaks so many personal volumes for Nick and for anyone who has ever experienced heartache, the last track on his CD and truly the most powerful.
9. Chamillionaire feat. Krayzie Bone "Ridin" - Try and catch me ridin' dirty...Okay so I'm a white boy who likes rap music but there is no denying that this song is off the hook.
10. Mariah Carey "Fly Like A Bird" - How could I not include a MC song on my list and now that this has hit Number 1 on the R&B billboard charts, its a must listen...soon to be Mariahs #18 single; that's my girl!
PS: Paris Hilton's New song will be banned from this list and any other list I ever do!
I thought I'd put together my hott top ten playlist of the summer...Check it out and if you want even download the songs of I-Tunes...Let me know whatcha think!?

The Red Carpet
So last night was not the biggest red carpet event I'll ever go to or the last for that matter but it was an event none-the-less. Celebrating the release of Season 3 of Bravo's hit Project Runway and LA LGBT Film Fest "OUTFEST", these powerful entities along with several corporate sponsors through one hell of a booze flowing party last night at IVAR in Hollywood. Designers from past seasons and the new season gathered with every Gay Hollywood celebirty, crew members, network execs, and average Joes to celebrate OUTFEST and umm of course the EMMY Nom for season 2. YAY!! I arrived with my amazing date Tali, which together, we were turning heads if you know what I mean. I was dressed to the 9's and has just gotten the best haircut ever from this powerful Lesbian at Rudys on Melrose...check it out!
Anyways, we of course met up with my good friends Nick V, Santino, and Andrae and I had a chance to mix and mingle with some of the new designers as well as a few celebrities.
For those of you that know me and those that don't know me all that well...I work in this crazy world of Hollywood and entertainment not only because I love to do it but because I am HOLLYWOODS biggest fan. I finally got to meet longtime semi-crush Jim Verraras from American Idol 1 and Gay Indie Film EATING OUT who is in town doing promotions for his new movie EATING OUT 2: Sloppy Seconds which premieres during OUTFEST on July 13th (Check out Outfest.org for all the details) Jim was charming, sweet, and very handsome he introduced me to one of his co-stars and an incredible entourage of publicists and producers...his team of marketing experts ready to pull Jim in at any chance for a photo opp, which I loved and we got to take one together as well. Peter paige was also there, such a honor to meet another member of the Queer as Folk family, ones that I adore and cherish for making such incredible TV that truly help change my life.
The new seasons designers were GREAT! So much fun to chat with and really get to know without of course crossing the line or a professional in the business, we producer types have to of course be careful; especially when a show hasn't even aired yet, mostly because its a competition. But needless to say Angela, Malan, Kayne, Robert, and gang were all so nice and very excited to see the show and even more so how they would look on TV, I really just wanted to ask Robert for a Barbie haha...is that tacky!!?? Check out more on this seasons contestants of course at BRAVOTV.com and watch the casting special I worked on this Tuesday July 12th at 9pm followed by the premiere of Runway 3 at 10 pm only of course on BRAVO!!
The evening ended with a drunk dial to Tali and a overpriced cab ride home ending with me crawling into bed to find a box of KIX there waiting for me, THANKS CARLITO!!

I HEART SUPERMAN RETURNS
As a kid, I think my 1st man on man crush was Christopher Reeve as SUPERMAN; strong hearted and willed, sweet, sexy, and oh so dorky; all things that a superhero should be. Christopher just brought to life this super character above and beyond anything a viewer could imagine. He made me believe maybe one day I could fly....now many years later Brandon Routh, the new SUPERMAN, has done just that as well. Not only was I blown away by the amazing special effects, the moving and very deep story, the decent acting, and of course Bryan Singers GENIUS performance as a director; he has done it, he has brought my hero back to life. It may sound cheesy but I found myself so into it and so moved by the story, I almost cried several times and actually cried towards the end....SUPERMAN has definitely returned. Please, do yourself a favor, get to the movie theatre...and see this movie!!
